About me

What would you like to know about me? What matters to you when choosing a therapist?

I’m going to share a bit about myself, my qualifications, my identities, but I encourage you to get in touch with me if you’d like to know how I will relate to you or if you have any other questions.

My name is Coralie Tauty and here are some facts about me that you might want to know:

  • I’m a queer cisgender woman.

  • I’m French and I’ve been living and working in Scotland for the last 12 years.

  • I’m a counsellor registered with BACP and a psychosexual and relationship therapist registered with COSRT. I abide by their codes of ethics.

  • I’ve been in private practice for about 6 years. I work in a pluralistic way (that means picking from different approaches to adapt to your unique needs), always trauma-informed or focused, with a compassionate and curious approach so that we can understand together what you need, who you are, and what comes next.

  • I’m not a blank slate, I can give you information or gently challenge you, but I also don’t tell you what to do. We will collaboratively decide on a course of action and figure out what works for you. I might be more directive at times but I will always work at your own pace.

  • This is your space and my main goal is for us to develop a safe and trusting relationship where we can be honest with each other to support your therapeutic goals.

  • In my spare time, I enjoy moving my body whether it’s climbing, hiking, mountaineering, going on gentle runs or doing yoga, strength training, etc. My happy place is in nature. I also enjoy reading, napping, simple but good food, and watching Netflix.
